Sexy: When it comes to sexy you should
rate yourself by your level of
confidence and class. It’s all in how you present
yourself and of course
looks. I will give myself an 8. I still have a while to
go to get to a 10. Michelle Obama
and Halle Berry are both a 10!
SG:My ideal date is a spending quality time weather it’s
going to have a romantic dinner on a boat or taking a
walk in the park. Hell we can even go club hopping or
jet skiing, as long as there is a romantic connection
there then I consider that a great date.
CRED:Tell me about some of your modeling
accomplishments:
SG: Well I was doing bridal runway shows at the age of
5. Then
I continued my modeling career when I turned 18 because
I wanted to be
a glamour model and actress. Some of my biggest
accomplishments are competing in the
2004 Miss Maryland Pageant, competing for the Miss
Caribbean metro pageant, winning DC’s Black men Magazine
Swimsuit Competition, and recently being selected to
host a major magazine release party in NJ.
CRED:A lot of people think modeling is all glamorous;
Tell me about some of the things you’ve had to overcome
in order to pursue your modeling.
SG: This modeling industry is very competitive because
there are models of different shades, shapes, and sizes.
I particularly had to try to stay in shape by eating
healthy foods and trying to make time in my busy
schedule to work out. Its just so my body can be
flawless while in
front of the camera and while making appearances. Its
hard work so modeling isn’t all that glam.
CRED: Tell me about some of the things in which you’ve
been featured.
SG: I got my 1st cover on VBlazin Magazine out of
Philadelphia, I am also in Beautiful Magazine out of
Atlanta. Also did a small feature in the March issue of
Blackmens Magazine. I presented an award at the DMV
awards in Capital Heights MD. Done some Import Car shows
and Lingerie fashion shows for 3wishes.com. I am
actually honored to have had the chance to
work with talented people in this industry. I have
interviewed Clinton Portis, Tocarra from ANTM and a few
BET and VH1 reality stars. I’ve also worked with local
celebs like Don Juan and Tabi Bonney. I am also studying
broadcast journalism so I work with people to get
experience with interviews and hosting.
CRED: Tell me about something not so positive that you
have encountered while modeling:
SG:The modeling industry isn’t always glitz and glam.
There are casting
agents that will tell me I’m too heavy or too slim for a
particular
job. But you have to have thick skin to be in this
business. There are also magazines and businesses who
make empty promises. I can definitely name a few LOL
CRED: Tell me about a really positive thing that has
happened to you during your modeling career:
SG:I feel that the most positive thing that has happened
to me in all of the years of my career would have to be
the feeling I get when I am recognized and I am looked
up to as a role model for younger women or aspiring
models in general. It assures me that I’m doing very
well and
I am actually progressing. Its an honorable feeling.
CRED: Of course you're a really attractive woman so I
know you get your share of pick lines and marriage
proposals (lol)...so tell me about some of the crazier
attempts at getting your attention:
SG: LOL there are some really lame guys out here! There
are a few that remember; so one of them was "man you’re
so hot that you could turn a gay man straight" (I dont
have the slightest idea of what that man was thinking
that day..) There was another time when I was in the
club and a guy comes up and says " Forget it! I'm not
gonna buy you a drink, I'm gonna buy you a house!" At
that point, regardless of the time, my night was over.
LOL
CRED: What do you consider to be your best features:
SG: I was told that my best features are my eyes, lips,
legs and of course breast. I totally agree!
CRED: Do you work out? After seeing your pics I would
say that you do:
SG: Yes I am starting to work-out now that the summer is
almost here. I also try to eat very healthy. I drink
lots of water. No sodas and very limited alcohol. I
prefer to drink wine when I go out. I run, dance
classes, yoga, pilates videos, and I am actually going
to buy the new Kim K. workout DVD. I am a big fan of
hers.
CRED: Yeah Im a fan of Kim K; didn’t know she had a
workout tape...besides the one that Ray J recorded. I
notice that models have their own style when it comes to
posing. How do you get into character for a photo-shoot?
SG: When I am posing for a photo-shoot I imagine myself
on stage for like a fashion show or acting. It’s pretty
much role play to me. The best thing about shooting has
to be getting your hair and make up done and dressing up
and being able to change into different costumes. I can
guarantee that goes for every model.
CRED: What sort of goals have you set for yourself as
far as your career and is modeling more of a stepping
stone for you or will you do it for as long as you can?
SG: I like modeling but I do use this as a stepping
stone to get to my other ventures. I am into fashion,
acting, and broadcasting so it all kind of comes
together. Pretty soon I would like to have a major role
in the Entertainment industry as a successful
broadcaster or TV host, living in Miami or LA
CRED: It sounds like you really have a successful career
ahead for you. We definitely want to wish you the best
and in conclusion are there any shouts or last words?
SG: I would like to give a shout out and a special
thanks to Tinman, Tony from Taylor Made Models, Charles
at Import Eye Candy, William Cenac, Michael Reyes and
Renny.
Then I would like to thank my fans, friends and family
for all the love and support!
And last but not least God because without him I
wouldn’t be able to do anything.
