CRED:  First of all, can you tell us a little about yourself? Where are you from, ethnicity, etc?

Layla:  I was born and raised in NJ. My father is Caribbean and my mother is Dutch. I am currently in graduate school for mental health therapy. My future goal is to help adolescents and teenagers with their self-esteem issues. I plan to do this by building a website and having a hotline. When I'm at work or at school I love to spend time with my family, it's relaxing.

CRED:  Do you like sports? If so what’s your favorite and why:

Layla:  I don’t play sports, but I like to watch hockey. Hockey sticks, helmets, and a puck, so dangerous, hahaha.

CRED:  How long have you been modeling? What inspired you to become a Model?

Layla:  I have been modeling on and off since I was a junior in high school. I was inspired by Victoria Secrets catalogs that came in the mail.

CRED:  How will you change the game?

Layla:  I'm not here to change the game, just expand it:  there’s only so many ways it can be played. I want to inspire young girls. Teaching them that confidence comes from within, and as a model, a girl, a women, a person, our confidence should not be brought down by anyone or anything. It’s what we think about ourselves that matter.

CRED:  What else do you do for fun?

Layla:  When I have time for fun, I like to play video games, and spend time with friends. Try new restaurants, travel, and modeling.

CRED:  What is your idea of a good date?

Layla:  .... It was about 90 degrees outside, later that night it was about 80. We went to Duncan Donuts and had coffee coolatta's. We sat down and spoke for about two hours about likes, dislikes, goals, things that are funny, things that are scary, family, and cars. Just two hours of getting to really know each other. I actually learned allot about myself that night.

CRED:  What do people say is your best feature?

Layla:  My eyes, a lot of people say I have Cleopatra eyes and great eyebrows.

CRED:  What does “sexy” mean to you?

Layla:  To me "sexy" isn’t based on looks. It's a woman who is self-confident, educated, hard working, loving, goal orientated, and has respect for herself. Everything that a good friend, mother, and wife has,...

CRED:  What’s the crazy pick up line you’ve heard from guys trying to get your attention?

Layla:  I wouldn’t say crazy, but it was different. "I really like you, can I add you on MySpace." Hahaha, it ended up in a relationship that lasted over three years.

CRED:  Models have their own style and inspiration when it comes to pulling off a hot photo shoot; How do you get into "character" for a photo shoot?

Layla:  My clothes, makeup, and hair get me into character. It's like putting on a costume, all you have to do is play the part. Sometimes playing the part is hard. Looking at Tyra Banks photos inspires me too.

CRED:  What’s the best thing about modeling?

Layla:  As a child, I was spoiled with dresses, shoes, and purses, everyday was dress up. Now I like to wear jeans, hoodies, and sneakers. So when I'm modeling it brings back those times I played dress up when I was younger.

CRED:  Where can fans find your work or keep up with your career? (magazine features, modeling sites, etc)
Layla:  Right now, my personal networks, www.facebook.com/layladutch, www.myspace.com/layladutch, and www.twitter.com.layladutch.

CRED:  Is there anything you want to let the people know, any parting words? Any shout outs in closing.

Layla:  Smile, enjoy life. When you’re feeling down, pick a star in the sky and make a wish.
Great creations come from greater creators. I thank my parents, along with my friends, fans, and those who believe in me.
