My family reins from Barbados (
a little island south of the
states) but I was born in
Harlem, NY. At the age of 13 my
family picked up and moved to
South Carolina. It was there
that learned a lot of valuable
things about life. So I like to
say I have a NY swag, with a
southern belle's grace :)
Actually, I love, love, love
sports! Back in high school I
was a sprinter on the
track&field team! I also ran
hurdles and did the high jump.
I'm a very competitive person so
I am always trying to think of
new innovative ways to excel in
whatever it is that I'm
participating in. I am also a
die hard Lakers fan! Kobe Bryant
is amazing!
i began modeling less than a
year ago. I was inspired by my
mother to move back to NY and go
after my dreams. She would tell
me that the "sky's the limit"
and "the only real way to fail,
is to never try". I love my mom
so i definitely took her advice,
now I'm in NY trying to make my
dream a reality.
I'm changing the modeling game
up by proving that natural
models are still in! You look at
these magazines an you see these
girls with triple D size breast
or a bottom from here to Mars.
I'm stepping up and saying hey i
don't need to be a size zero to
book jobs with agencies or get
plastic surgery to get noticed.
I'm naturally beautiful and
wouldn't change a thing about
it!
I have to admit I'm a huge party
animal. After a long week of
castings, fashion shows, sending
out mass amounts of emails etc.
I love hitting the city with my
girls and partying the night
away.
A good date to me is anything
well planned out. Nothing is
more embarrassing then hearing.
"Well Sir your looking at about
a 45min to an hour wait" Ha ha.
Nothing is more unattractive
then waiting in a lobby shoulder
to shoulder with a bunch
strangers.
My best feature?.. hmm well
people tend to stop me in the
street to tell me how flawless
my skin is. There has been
plenty of days when i don't feel
like doing the whole makeup
thing so i go o' nataurale and
people still ask me what makeup
I'm wearing. Well then again my
family is from Barbados, so I
guess the island bloodline gives
me a radiant glow. :)
What's the craziest pickup line
Ive ever heard? Ha ha i always
laugh when i hear this question
because Ive heard soooo many
cheesy lines its hard to choose
only one. Well it had to be this
one time when i was sending out
an email on my blackberry and
this dude sees me doing so, so
he randomly starts calling out
his phone number to me like i
was suppose to lock it in or
something. Well long story short
he must have noticed the crazed
look on m face because he
stopped right before he got to
the last digit. Ha ha
I would have to say the best
thing about modeling is the
networking opportunities. Last
summer I got invited to be a
promo model in the MAGIC
Convention in Las Vegas, NV. It
was as though everybody from all
walks of life were there. I
networked with so many
designers, music artist, actors
etc. it was awesome and it
opened the doors for me to
future work and events. I am
definitely going back this
summer!
I want everyone to know that no
matter what your dreams are, its
your responsibility to go out
there and get it. if you weren't
born with a silver spoon to your
mouth, success will not come
easy. I know things wont be easy
but when you feel like giving up
remember this "Through Christ we
can do all things which
strengthen us" That bible verse
got me through alot of hard
times myself.
In closing, I want to give a
shout out to my mom for
everything she has done. Love
you mom! My sisters Sharesse and
Marquetta and my brother Belvin
you guys make life worth living.
Last but not least to my cousin
Nevon, I don't know where I
would be without you girl! Love
ya!
